Double transistor frequency converter was made for the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. Together with three-phase separating transformer and two loads in the form of parallel oscillatory circuit, which is induction heater SOT 200+40/20, it is used for induction heating of steel rods.
Double transistor frequency converter consists of two input power circuit breakers, controlled rectifiers, smoothing chokes, current inverters and overvoltage protections. The operation of the frequency converter is provided by operating system consisting of two regulators, converters and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Internal integrated water cooling system is used for cooling the electronic and other elements of power circuits of the frequency converter.
